A short study of how people move the mouse, scroll, and type. ~4 minutes.
Before you start
This page records how you move and type — pointer motion, scrolling, and key timing — to help
build more natural software. It records:
Mouse / trackpad / touch motion and clicks
Scroll and wheel motion
Key timing during a typing task where we give you the sentence to type
It does not record any of your own text, the pages you visit, your files, or your screen. Outside
the typing task, no keys are recorded at all. You can stop anytime by closing the tab.
No account, no personal data.
Task
Scroll slowly to the bottom, reading as you go. There is a button at the end.
Keep scrolling…
Almost there…
Just read the paragraph below normally for 15 seconds. You can move the
mouse as you naturally would while reading. Don't click anything.
The quiet harbor town woke slowly. Fishing boats returned

moving with the patience of decades. Nothing hurried here; the morning simply unfolded.
